Ripoff, be sure to read fine print

I discovered three $10 charges on my credit card. That's b/c if you go over, they charge you in $10 increments NONREFUNDABLE if you have no overages within then next 6 months. For example, if you go over by one page, it charges your card $10. You get a $9.90 credit to use ONLY FOR FUTURE OVERAGES. If you have no future overages within 6 months, you lose your $9.90. Be sure to read the fine print in the terms and conditions, because it can get expensive fast. I called and the customer service reps do not seem to care.

Could not cancel

Myfax makes it very difficult to cancel. Charged me 2 extra months after I canceled. Cant' cancel by e-mail. Can't cancel on the website. Have to talk to someone or chat with someone and once you do that, you obviously have no record of it. Isn't that convenient? After 2 months of continued billing, I called again and asked to cancel - still don't know if it will happen! I expressed my frustration, then asked for a manager, and still did not talk with anyone who cared whether my problem was going to get resolved to my satisfaction. Do they want raving customers? I don't think so.

Definitely a scam

Back in January I signed up for MY FAX and called to cancel 2-3 days later. Unfortunately, I missed the fact that company has been charging my debit for five months including May 9 for the month thru June 9. I know I called to cancel back then, but customer service refuses to do anything about charges. I have no way to prove that I called. Services were never used, not even during trial. My home phone provider has no way of pulling up calls made by me so I'm out of luck. Guess I should have checked back to make sure I was not charged.

Too many issues to briefly summarize in a title

Yes, I would love to put together a class-action lawsuit with anyone who is interested in shutting this company down or at least forcing them to acknowledge their unlawful treatment of so many consumers and thus repay damages to said consumers while reconstructing their poorly constructed business (if it continues to exist all). Their terms and conditions strip consumers of their basic consumer rights... Their policies are discriminatory. Their entire website (even the terms and conditions) is riddled with contradictions, inconsistencies, spelling errors, and misinformation. I am going to look into this and post more information about moving this forward. Please revisit this board periodically as contact information will be posted.

What others say here is 100% correct. These shysters make it impossible to cancel. Their "customer service" hangs up on you when they hear you want to cancel, you cannot cancel their HORRIBLE "service" online, & there is no one manning their "chat." First I spent over 30 minutes on hold, only to get a really bad line with someone who could barely speak English. This Turd Worlder HUNG UP when I said I wanted to cancel Myfax. Then I tried to cancel online. They will NOT ALLOW you to delete your credit card number. This alone is ILLEGAL. After finding that no one was available to "chat," I emailed them. No response. I did call my credit card company to ask them if I could block Myfax. They told me to let it go through next month (when it's supposed to renew) & that they will do whatever is necessary to cancel the charges made by THESE FRAUDSTERS. I advise doing the same to anyone who, like me, made the mistake of signing up for their FIFTH RATE "SERVICE." They are begging for a class action suit. Since I'm close to several attorneys, they just may see one coming their way.

Service outage

From 2/8/2015 until the time of this post on 2/10/2015 I have been without MyFax fax service. They don't hire enough customer service people as I was on hold yesterday for over 36 minutes and today (2/10/2015) I cannot even get a service rep on their online chat function. Do not use this company (MyFax) as they don't allow you to port your fax number if you want to change providers. This is a total scam and I am not sure how this is legal. Imagine your cell phone provider prohibiting you from taking your phone number to another cell service provider.

Free Trial is Not Free

I signed up for the free trial and my credit card was charged before the first month of service was over. When I phoned them to cancel and ask about the charge, they said it was "an honest mistake". I suggested since they made the mistake, they should credit my card back. They said a credit request was put in, which I doubt will go through since "they have a lot of credit requests". Sound like a dishonest mistake to me. I do not recommend this company that uses fraudulent business practices and misinformation to cheat you out of money.

The Myfax service is terrible - like most people on here Myfax refuses to cancel making it nearly impossible to cancel the subscription. There is no option to cancel through the online account mangament tab and dispite my requests to cancel they then billed me anyway and have refused point blank to refund the money they have illegally taken from my account. Any company that behaves and acts in this manor should be avoided at all costs. I will be discussing with my credit card provider to see if I can raise a fraud case against this company. DO NOT USE MYFAX.COM!

Voluntarily canceled my account.

A few days after opening an account with them, I tried several times to log in but my account could not be found. I called and the rep stated that an email was sent to be... which I never received... stating that my account was closed due to credit card verification, asking that I send them bank statements and front & back pics of my cc to Finance in order for them to Reactivate my account. I felt that was too extreme for a simple subscription and told him I was no longer interested. Definitely seemed sketchy, therefore, I don't recommend!

WARNING DONT DONT DONT USE

Do not use this company... signed up for "free" trial ... my card was charged $60.00 because their "service" didn't work... it kept re-sending to fax machine - you are charged for all pages whether they go through or not - REFUSED to refund any of my money or even let me sign up for the service for $20 per month to cover the charges... DO NOT NOT NOT USE - hidden charges as well - they say that they only charge .10 a page if you go over usage, but then whack you a ton more if it transmission takes longer than normal.. and of course all faxes take longer than normal SUMMARY: I WAS CHARGED $60.00 to send two faxes
