Don't believe MyFax is free! Their site is misleading.

MyFax didn't work at all for me the one time I tried it. I used their free 30 day trial and MyFax started to charge after that without notifying me and my permission. When I called them they put me on hold to let me talk to somebody else and after a few minutes the call got disconnected. I tried for 45 minutes to call again and the line didn't work. Finally I was able to connect again and they said they "could" not return the money, they could only cancel the service. So, one failed attempt at using this MyFax cost me a lot of money.

Can't cancel billing after not working

Myfax.com does not work well and after you try and cancel it is almost impossible as they ask for these codes that I have no idea what they are. Everytime I try and chat with support I get: Please wait while I transfer the chat to the best suited site operator. very frustrating and no way to cancel. I expect I have to cancel the card and report myfax.com as fraud as they are not able to process and cancel an account. The support is also terrible and service does not work reliably. The worst thing is I keep getting charged.

Account Cancellation Doom Loop

Been trying to cancel our account for several months as we don't use it. We don't even know the fax number - because we never used the service.... 1. Since we don't know the fax number we cant log into our account 2. Sent a letter to Customer Service to get fax umber, but they cant find account - referred to billing 3. Call billing & get voice prompt - can only get an operator with ...yup, the fax number! 4. Finally called number on credit card statement (management company is a Canadian Telco).... who cancelled by looking up my credit card. 5. Would not credit back to original cx. request because no markers on my account - because they couldn't find my account! My Fax is at worst a scam - at best a desperate corporate strategy to "collar" customers into monthly revenue....which is a huge sign of impending bankruptcy.

Longtime customer switching to another service

Our company has used Myfax since 2007 and we loved it until fairly recently. They had great customer service and I never had a problem with the service. In the last year, everything has changed. Features which were available previously no longer work, and when we wrote to support for help, (which is what we have always done) they told us we would have to call customer support. We did, and still no resolution. I wrote again, explained that over a period of several weeks, I've used different computers, different operating systems, different browsers, even different versions of the same browsers... and their response was that I should "try again later" or try a different browser. Huh??? As an alternative, I could contact customer support by phone, which is a nightmare all in itself with their horrible automated system. So after three months of not being able to use the service, I'm switching to RingCentral, which offers MUCH more for less.

DO NOT USE MY FAX!! How is this company able to say "No Hidden Fees.

No Contract. Cancel Anytime!"? HIDDEN FEES is exactly what they do. See attached.

100 pages outbound can really be 50 or less depending on THEIR server!! Shame on you!!!

I was grandfathered in from before J2 bought it out, and somehow, they have no copy of my original account!

Instead of porting our fax line, myfax ported our business phone line!!!!

We are now on day 6 of no phone service for our business. After several, several calls to resolve the problem, i finally got angry and asked for a supervisor. The supervisor, Nicholas, hung up on me this morning because i used the word "***" and he isn't going to be talked to like that!!!!! I cannot get my issue resolved, cannot get a direct phone number to the porting department, cannot get a last name of the person i'm speaking with. Each time I call, i wait on hold for approximately 20 minutes. I have no idea how much business revenue i have lost during the past 6 days!! Stay away from this company!!!!!

Problems cancelling account over several months period

After several months of attempting to cancel this account and lodging a complaint in regards to the poor customer service. I have called several times and have been on hold for at least 20 minutes and unable to speak to a representative until today. I have not used the service in several months and have still been charged for this even though the fact that your phone service disconnects the call, which does not allow me to be able to cancel the service. This is very poor service, as well as the fact that you do not refund customers for service not used and unable to cancel due to your system. I was able to speak with a customer service rep today who did provide professional and timely service, so that was the one plus of my interaction with your company so far. I asked him if I could speak with a supervisor and was transferred, but put on hold for another 10-15 minutes. The supervisor (Megan, ID 7365) did inform me that she will relay this issue with the system/delayed wait times, to the engineering department. She also said this is not the first time that customers have complained about this. Demetria Williams

I decided to try this service because they allowed more free pages then faxzero and my very important fax was over the page limit. I uploaded the fax, received the confirmation email to send, clicked the link. THe email said I would get a confirmation email the fax...

HelloFax won't let you down. You send a free fax with a simple email and password login.

You come back 8 months later for another fax and you get an activity log of the faxes you've sent. Simple and effective.

Impossible to Cancel-Unethical-Rude

I signed up for the 30 day trial and attempted to cancel it within the 30 days. I was dropped from chat a couple of times because of being "transferred", could not get through on the phone, received a return email that I could not cancel via email and to try the methods I already explained had failed. I was treated rudely after spending WAY more than $10 worth of MY time, and because I couldn't get through within the 30 days despite trying, I was charged for a "service" that is by no means a service. This site should be shut down for theft.

YEP, MYFAX has struck again. reached out last August to cancel account.

Haven't used it since April 2019. Now it is Feb. 1 2020. 90 bucks down the hole.

I would of rather seen a 100 dollar bill go up in smoke in front of me than let them steal from me. At least I would of got some thermal BTU's from it. I am a tither and the devour is rebuked because of the tithe. I gave them a chance to refund me back to November, but two people denied me.

1 per phone and 1 per chat.

Very difficult to cancel account DO NOT MAKE ONE

They force you into entering your Credit Card Details and then make it impossible for you to cancel the account! I have currently waited 40 minutes for somebody to take my call. I hat companies that operate like this! I will never use you again! I would rather post my mail! I´m still waiting for their service now and I don´t understand why companies like these are still around as they belong to the old school thinking of the early 80s where it was all about forcing consumers into doing things, but this is 2014 and we should not have to deal with such companies anymore!

Worst Fax Company In The World

As all the other complaints have indicated they want to keep charging your credit card and make it almost impossible to cancel your account. Online chat representatives do not respond, you have to go through a maze of questions for online help and I never did get a representative on the phone or thru live chat. I finally had to cut off the credit card to keep them from charging me. I suggest everyone file a complaint with the Hollywood BBB and the Attorney General in California. This company is the worst and they have designed it so it is almost impossible to cancel your account. Never, never go with this company. If you want a good fax service check out RingCentral. MyFax is horrible and I would suggest that you never use this company or any of its subsidiaries.

Yes, it's true. I'm now facing the same situation.

Although I told them that I'm not living in the U.S. and that would cost me a lot to make international call despite them having email where it is much easier and cost-effective for the customer - still they don't care. I've read quite several reviews of myfax and all are similar - their customer support suck! They never will provide customers an easy or friendly service to cancel the subscription as it is their source of income.

Because they know this is burdensome for the customers and some would give up so they can continue stealing people's money. Shame to you myfax!

Unauthorized charges; Rep lied and said he'd reimburse the amount back to my account

MyFax made an unauthorized charge to my bank account. When canceling on the very morning the pending transaction was made, the customer rep acknowledged this transaction and that he would rescind this amount. A month later, I was checking my account and found out that the transaction was still there! And now, I'm not even sure if he officially canceled my account. I'd advised to stay away from this company and to not give them your credit card information. At the moment, I'm changing my debit card to avoid getting charged again from this company since they are not to be trusted.
