Prepare to spend your whole life cancelling.

I read up on myfax.com prior to ordering. I was aware that I had to call to cancel. What I wasn't aware of was that I would have to wait over an hour to do this. There is no "estimation" of wait time or hold time. Nothing. Just generic hold music. I imagine 2 people working in a 1 bedroom apartment someplace that can not handle the call volume. Listen. It appears more than enough people are subscribed to this service where holding an hour is probably some ploy they have to deter you from calling in to cancel. Fax service was fine & worked as intended. But you better be prepared to keep the service forever or hold for an hour like I did if you ever want out. May as well buy a $10 phone from your telephone company for faxing only. How about myfax.com pays me to get the hour of my life back that I wasted? Ridiculous. I hung up. I will try again later.

I have a similar problem with MyFax. I sent them an email (support@myfax.com) telling them to Close my account Mar, 2016. This month (Nov, 2016) my account was low ($4.00) and when I checked my balance I was 6.00 overdrawn. MyFax took 10 dollars out of my account. The one I closed 9 months earlier. I emailed them again and they told me to call a number to close my account. As far as I knew it was already closed. The didn't tell me to call any numbers when I sent the first email closing my account. Free accounts are billed regularly after the first month unless cancelled within 30 days. Canceling is easy by phone or online. (Email is online)

I signed up for a free trial with MyFax services and used it only once. They began charging my credit card $10 a month, which I did not consent to. I never used the service again. I never received a monthly statement or invoice, although the charge did appear on my credit card statement, which I did not notice at first. It took me several months to realize I was being charged. When I called, they refused to issue a credit or refund. I'm sure they rip off lots of people in exactly the same way. Other companies have the decency to offer at least some credit or refund as a goodwill gesture. Not MyFax.

Stay away from MyFax

Most things can be forgiven and looked past with polite customer service and at least a calm willingness to consider customer concerns/frustrations, or if they offer a stellar product/service that makes it worth the lack of support. MyFax fails on all counts. They began charging a credit card I never provided to them, and justify it by saying "it was in the terms and conditions" which both the agent and Manager agreed they themselves do not read. They informed me that the only way they will provide documentation showing consent to charges would be under court-ordered subpoena. Sound shady? It is. Not to mention the product itself is clunky, outdated, and rife with spam immediately coming into your inbox. Save yourself the time, money and pain. This company offers no real service or convenience, just headaches.

The worst customer service

Details
Refused to cancel account when call. hung up on us, would not transfer calls to a manager. Send the email to insure to cancel. They did not. After seeing a new charge on my cc called them again and was told that I should have called again, refusing to refund a $10.00 charge, making it sound like it is all our fault. Running in circles. This is the silliest way to run business with all the competition around. They will *** off customers over 10 backs, without any attempt to make to make them happy. Something I don't see to often.

I signed up for the 30 trial as I had recently moved and needed fax service in my home office. I was never able to receive any faxes. I called in multiple times to find a resolution and they always told me that it was working fine. They would send test emails and those would come through as an email but no other customer was able to fax me. I had to find another fax service and quickly which I did. I then got a billing statement which I replied via email that I was not using the service and I would like to cxl. They never did. They have now charged me for four months of service and will not issue a refund. Every phone call is lengthy and painful. I am a busy person and have a business to run. Very unsatisfied.

Make sure you read all the little character on there piece of *** website before you gave your credit card information to those thieves... Try to send a fax, but it never went thru, even if the website said it did. I’ve call them to cancel the invoice they wrongfully bill me and got nothing from them. Stay far from this website, they don’t deliver the service you pay for. There « free trial » is a scam to get your credit card information. I’m trying to find a 100 words to tell you to stay away from my fax.com, but nothing but swearing come to my mind...

Quietly stealing money from you month after month..

Let me first start of by saying that the free 30 day trial just shows how desperate this company is for your money. They are hoping that within the first 30 days you will either forget that you signed up for this service or gave up on trying to cancel because they make it very difficult to do so. The method of operation is that they do not send you any e-mail correspondence after you initially sign up in hopes that you forget about their service and/or can't figure out how to cancel and they can quietly steal money from your bank account month after month with hopes that you don't notice. After being billed for this service twice after requesting a cancellation during the trial period (via e-mail, which apparently you can't do.. you must call in to cancel. Just learned that today). I noticed my card was charged yesterday for the subscription, called to cancel and requested a refund for that month. Realized I had been billed for the previous month also, but I figured a refund for the month I was just charged for would suffice. The representative I spoke with at first was hard to understand and did not understand me, so I asked for a supervisor. I think they must have transferred me to their lawyer instead. This guy was pretty bad. His level of customer service was probably the worst I've ever experienced. Based on his defensiveness of their policies, I suggested that the company must need the $10 more than I do. I asked him if his position was in jeopardy with the financially struggling company and he hung up on me. I take that as a yes. Don't do business with this corrupt company that wastes your time and does not value you as a human being, let alone a customer. However, if you are feeling charitable, go for it. They really could use the money.

Another reviewer here, chiming in to warn consumers that, if you sign up for this service, you'll mostly likely regret it. This is another one of those stellar companies that earns its revenue by making it as hard to cancel as possible. I signed up for the 30-day free trial. It was ok, lots of scam faxes arrived to my inbox, but I can deal with that. It just wasn't worth $10/month. I don't send/receive that many faxes, and I doubt many people do. So, I decided to cancel at some point during the trial. After spending at least an hour on their website, clicking on various links that make it seems like, of course, you can cancel online (this is 2016, after all, and the links say provocative things like, "cancel service"), and also like they had no actual telephone number, I finally sent them an email, begging them to cancel my account. No go. After being charged $10, because the trial subsequently ended, someone finally got around to emailing me back to say I needed to call them and giving me a number to one of those customer service lines with a ratio of 90% hold time to 10% getting something done time. I just didn't have time to deal with them until yesterday, and I wound up getting charged by them again in the meantime. And, no, as other have said, they will not refund you for the service you paid for only because of their trickery. If you have any kind of life or think you should be treated ethically by the people you give your money to, I don't recommend MyFax.

I received a call from someone claiming to be from MyFax. They gave me vague information as to how my credit card charge did not go through.

The caller ID was 'unknown' and the voicemail gave me a telephone number to call back. 866-450-****. I called the ACTUAL customer service number for myfax.com, and I verified that the payment did go through the bank. MYFAX.COM confirmed that my payment went through and NO call was made to me.

I called the bogus phone number and told them to remove me from their robocall list. To avoid this SCAM - do some research.

DO NOT take a call and BELIEVE whatever you are being told. MYFAX.COM is fantastic!

It is not possible to cancel on the web, you have to phone them to do it. The only reason to not have online cancellation is to make it more difficult for people to cancel. They also do not provide a refund if you havent used the service. The customer support person was unwilling to try to keep the a good relationship with me, and willing to loose any future sales. I would have gladly signed up again in the future when I needed it if it was easy to cancel, but this will not be happening. This company seems locked in the 1980's with these sorts of tactics. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for a service. Oh, and their user interface looks like it was written in the 1990's and never updated.

Impossible to cancel service

MyFax provides no way to cancel online and require you to call in which can take up to 30 minutes to get a live person. I have called to cancel the service with them twice (two consecutive years) only to find an annual charge on my corporate card 12 months later for an annual renewal. No matter how many times I call to cancel they don't do a thing. The credit card on file with them isn't even valid anymore but they still found a way to charge it!! Complete scam. Do not sign up for this service or you will be married to them for life. Save yourself time and money and just go out and buy a small fax machine for the 5 to 10 faxes you receive each year
